The Organization.

Osservatorio Nessuno is a non-partisan, non-religious, volunteer-based organization with a democratic and non-profit structure, legally registered in Italy.
Founded to address the need for more Tor exit nodes within the Italian territory, the organization has since expanded its mission to the broader protection of privacy and anonymity, supporting and promoting digital rights and related technologies.

Osservatorio Nessuno pursues the following goals:

• Defending privacy and anonymity through both direct and indirect actions, including support for the development and maintenance of existing projects;
• Protecting and promoting the freedom of information, expression, and communication across digital networks;
• Raising awareness of digital rights and encouraging responsible and informed use of technology;
• Analyzing the security of digital devices and infrastructures;
• Providing technical support to individuals at risk of rights violations.

Our Communities #

Since its foundation, one of the core goals outlined in the organization’s charter has been to raise public awareness around digital rights and the responsible use of anonymity tools like the Tor network.

Osservatorio Nessuno is an officially recognized Tor Relay Association by the Tor Project. Relay Associations are organizations primarily dedicated to operating and promoting Tor relays.

Osservatorio Nessuno is an affiliate of the European Digital Rights (EDRi) network, a collective of NGOs, experts, advocates and academics working to defend and advance digital rights across Europe and beyond.
